How did you end up in your current position?
Back in 1995, while still attending PCSD, I was hired by Thomas Powell (Founder of Pint, Inc.) to do some design and illustration work. Over time my roll at Pint, Inc. grew from a Graphic Designer to Creative Director and now I am a Partner.Who is your most visible client?
For over four years, Pint, Inc. has been fortunate enough to work with the The National Football League's (NFL) San Diego Chargers. From design to hosting we handle their main web presence for their brand. www.chargers.comAnything particularly "cool" about the Chargers web site?
We were asked to develop "ChargersTV" for the site. This unique element allows viewers to stream video of specific content including: Inside Training Camp, Chargers cheerleaders, past game highlights, previews for upcoming games and player interviews to name a few. What was the biggest challenge with the Charger's project?
With so much information that is displayed on the site, we had a challenge of displaying it all so the end user does not get lost. The site is highly integrated with nfl.com that it had to be functional as well as visually appealing.Did you get to meet any of the players?
Absolutely! I have had the pleasure of meeting current Pro Bowl players such as LaDainian Tomlinson and Shawne Merriman, plus past star players as Drew Brees and Junior Seau.Any advise for students of PCSD?
While the students are still in school they should visit their career services department. They can help the student find internships, freelance work or even a job! Even if the internship or freelance work does not pay, it will pay them back two-fold. It does not matter what school the students attend all employers have seen the same class projects before. Professional projects in a student's portfolio is invaluable. It shows dedication and the ability to work outside the school environment. Besides, some internships or freelance work turn into a job position for the student. It is their foot-in-the-door. That is what happened to me.
