Famous model sculpture Adam Beane was recently commissioned to create a sculpture of President Barack Obama for Esquire’s “People Who Matter” issue. Adam Beane, who’s known for creating insanely detailed sculptures of famous pop culture icons such as Matt Damon, David Bowe, and Luke Skywalker (Star Wars), will also sell this limited edition sculpture of President Obama to the general public on his personal site. Adam Beane’s ultra-realism is breathtaking. Are these sculptures life size? On d-vers.com Online Gallery, there is a piece by Duane Hanson, another noted ultra-realistic sculptor. (It is a test head for his ‘Fund Raiser’ piece-check it out on d-vers.) Hanson’s works are life size, and the skin is rendered faithfully in both color and texture. Is Adam Beane’s work in full color, or is the President Obama sculpture unpainted? Either way, it is quite amazing, and worthy of admiration.
