The Bachelor of Science Degree: Media Arts Program prepares students in a broad range of design and technology skills for a career in multimedia and design.
The tools of technology, from digital imaging to 3D modeling, have permeated the art and design-making process, resulting in a new breed of designers expressing their visual creativity through technology. The resulting changes in information architecture and interactive design have catapulted the primarily print media area of graphic design into new arenas that meld audio, video, text, graphics and animation.
The program starts with foundation courses in traditional and computer graphic design, which promote creativity and develop an understanding of visual language. Starting in the third academic year, students will select two areas of study from among the following areas: animation, web design or digital video production.
