During the week of Valentines Day, Platt College San Diego students and faculty united as one and celebrated "Solidarity". The event was to not just celebrate mankind but a celebration of the human spirit, a spirit that allows us to rise up whenever despair exists. So when Platt College students and faculty were asked to rise to the challenge and help out Haiti, they answered. The answer? $1000 raised in less than two hours. Touched and awed by the outcome, President of Platt College, Meg Leiker, decided to add the final touch on this inspiring event by doubling the amount raised to $2000!
