Prerequisites
- An A.A.S. Degree: Graphic Design from Platt College San Diego or equivalent
OR - Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CSS and HTML
- An acceptable professional or educational portfolio

- IW104 Fundamentals of Web Design
- IV104 Introduction to Digital Video Production
- IA104 Introduction to Animation
Term 5 - Specialized Web Design
Term 6 - Advanced Specialized Web Design / Production
The program prepares students for a career in Web Development and Design, equips them with technological skills, design principles and techniques. The tools of technology include: HTML, CSS, ActionScript, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, and PHP. The program is structured to compliment the resulting changes in information architecture and interactive design that have catapulted the primarily print media area of graphic design into new arenas that combine audio, video, text, graphics and animation for the web.
The program starts with foundation courses in design and coding for web to current. Students completing this advanced diploma will be prepared to meet the challenges the growing field of Web Design and Development offers.
